On the one hand, the project’s large-scale expression and placement refers to the major volumes in the vicinity, such as the school buildings and industrial factories. On the other hand, it is also orientated towards the playing fields arranged in a north-south alignment. The scale of the pedestrian’s level of perception refers to the street spaces of the residential estate. Exciting interior and exterior spatial references are achieved both horizontally towards the forecourt area and the open-air pool, and vertically, down to the arenas and water basins of the indoor pool and up towards the sky.  The perforated levels and their framing are derived from elements of the sports arenas. The advertising bands of the football and hockey stadiums serve as references for the design of the façades, inner courtyards, stadium spaces and the indoor swimming pool. The roof edges and façade balustrade elements support the building signage, while the bands around the playing fields are used for advertising and bands in the inner courtyards add atmospheric colouring, each with a different tone denoting its specific function.
